Objective: We encourage local Drama clubs interested in cross cultural issues to create plays on themes related to Indian American cultural experience. And offer them a platform to present their work to a receptive audience of visitors to the festival.

2:30 - 3:15 PM Damini The play is a reflection on the objectification of women across cultures. With deft use of metaphors, it depicts the patriarchal norms to which women are expected to conform. Nandita Ghose
3:30 - 5:00 PM Shartiyan The protagonists in this play indulge their desires trying out a range of passions – music, wine, solitude and divinity. These themes are woven into an open-ended game which invites the viewer’s imagination to create possible outcomes. Nandita Ghose
